Airport transfer: a sourced example rather than a fixed fare
ITU/CONATEL's 2025 guide gives approximately 8 km, 20–25 minutes and USD 15–25 by taxi from ASU to Hotel Paseo La Galería. This older estimate applies to that destination; it is neither a current tariff nor an estimate for the historic centre. Check today's route and total fare for your own hotel.

Official airport taxi/remis service
DINAC confirms an official taxi/remis service for arriving passengers. Operator Cooperativa Mburuvicha received a five-year contract renewal in 2024 and renewed its vehicle fleet as part of that agreement.
If you want a straightforward option after a long flight, the official service is an obvious choice. Confirm the current fare and conditions before departure.
Ride-hailing app: check the live pickup point and fare
Uber documents pickups at ASU. The assigned pickup location appears in the app and can change. There is no permanently fixed app fare to central Asunción; the current price is shown when you request the ride.
Before getting in, match the driver's name, licence plate and vehicle, and choose a vehicle size that suits your luggage.
Pre-arranged hotel or private transfer
For a late arrival, young children or a trip where you want to organise as little as possible after landing, a pre-arranged hotel or private transfer can be convenient. Check directly with your accommodation to see whether it offers one.
Avoid relying on one generic journey-time estimate
Travel time depends on your actual destination and traffic conditions. Your hotel address or at least the neighbourhood is therefore more useful for planning than a generic estimate for 'central Asunción'.
